The design of the Nothing Phone (2) is expected to retain the transparent design aesthetic that Nothing debuted with the phone (1) in collaboration with Sweden’s Teenage Engineering. Also, based on the teaser image shared by the brand, we can expect the Glyph lighting to make a comeback, and perhaps the brand will find more uses for it this time.
The teaser image also shows a red LED indicator that has grown in size compared to the Nothing Phone (1) and a mysterious switch that could possibly be a mute switch.
In terms of specs, the Nothing Phone (2) touts its Snapdragon 8 series SoC, unlike the Nothing Phone (1), which launched with the Snapdragon 765 SoC – an upper mid-range chipset. Earlier this year, a Qualcomm representative accidentally revealed that the Nothing Phone (2) will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Soc, Qualcomm’s flagship SoC from last year, sandwiched between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. early 2022 and 8 Gen 2 from this year.
At the moment, it is not known if the phone will have new camera lenses, including a telephoto lens, or if it will have a completely new sensor. However, in a series of phone reviews, Nothing founder Carl Pei emphasized that the brand is working hard to make the software strong for the Nothing Phone (1), so we might see improved cameras this time around.
With Summer already underway, we can expect the London-based company to reveal more details about the device soon.
