OnePlus Expected To Unveil Its First Foldable Phone In The Coming Month: Here’s What You Should Know
According to recent rumors, the OnePlus V Fold smartphone is anticipated to be officially announced on August 29th. This comes after Chinese tech giant OnePlus made an official announcement earlier this year, confirming the launch of their first foldable smartphone in 2021.
According to a report by SmartPrix, the OnsePlus V Fold is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor clocked at 3.36GHz paired with 16GB of RAM. Max Jambor, a reliable tipster also confirmed that Oneplus will launch this foldable smartphone at a physical event in New York, USA on August 29. This would happen more than a month after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Last month, the same publication recently published renders of the OnePlus One or V Fold based on a leaked model. The upcoming OnePlus foldable phone is expected to have a notebook-like shape similar to devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Google Pixel Fold.
Some reports also claimed that the OnePlus V Fold is expected to feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED FHD+ flip display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has a 7.8-inch foldable AMOLED screen with Quad HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
In terms of optics, OnePlus’ first foldable phone is expected to include a 48-megapixel main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera. In addition, the device is likely to have a 20-megapixel internal camera and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
This foldable phone from OnePlus is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor clocked at 3.36GHz, coupled with 16GB of RAM. It may have a 4,805mAh battery and support 67W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
