OnePlus Set to Release Pad Go Tablet in India in October
The company has officially confirmed the OnePlus Pad Go tablet and now we also know that the affordable tablet will be exclusive to the Indian market. OnePlus will launch this tablet in October and it will be sold through online channels in the country. The said release date is October 6th, which could either be a full-fledged event or done practically like other OnePlus events this year.
OnePlus shared a teaser of the product just a few days ago and now we have the product unveiled in its full glory with a front and back design that resembles the premium OnePlus Pad model with a circular camera module on the back.
The Pad Go model has a green color finish, and we hope that the company uses a mix of plastic and surface materials to make the panel, which gives it strength without looking cheap. Unlike the premium Pad, OnePlus could offer the Pad Go in both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + cellular variants, suggesting the company could use the device with a 4G chip or lock the modem to a 5G chip to support 4G. via SIM card.
The Pad Go will probably get a single rear camera according to the product image, but you’d have to install quad speakers, probably without Dolby Atmos. The OnePlus Pad Go has a 2.4K resolution screen and the OxygenOS 13 version based on the Android 13 operating system.
The OnePlus Pad Go is likely to compete in the market with brands like the Xiaomi Pad 5 and the Realme Pad series, and considering the price of the OnePlus Pad in India, we expect the affordable OnePlus tablet to launch around Rs 25,000. OnePlus is the latest brand to enter the country’s affordable Android tablet market, giving consumers more choice.
