Oppo is working on a new foldable phone and this is what it looks like

Oppo has long been known to work on a foldable screen smartphone. In the past, reports have detailed several designs the company plans to work on. Now a new report is bringing a design to life that we saw earlier this year.

Dutch site Let s Go Digital reports that Oppo is working on a foldable screen smartphone that was designed by American fashion designer Tom Ford. The publication was able to get its hands on the telephone documents out of the blue. These documents not only showcase the design of the phone, but they also give us an overview of the phone wallpapers.

The images show that Oppo’s future smartphone features a sliding screen that, when opened, completely expands the screen area by around 80%. These are the same design plans that the company first presented in August of this year.

On the back, the phone has a horizontally mounted triple camera setup that is placed inside a rectangular camera module. On the sides it has buckles which can be used to hang the phone as a fashion accessory. When the phone is fully open, you can see that the SIM card slot is placed on the right side. Flip it over and what you see is a phone with a full screen display. It has no notch or perforation. This means that the company plans to hide the selfie camera in plain sight by using an underscreen camera sensor.

For now, that’s all we know about the Oppo X Tom Ford. It remains to be seen if and when the company plans to officially launch this phone.
