Panic to Present Debut Games Showcase on August 29th
Panic, known for creating the Playdate and various Mac apps, is also highly respected as a games publisher, having released successful titles like Firewatch and Untitled Goose Game. However, it has been a while since Panic released a game that wasn’t exclusively for the Playdate. To address this, Panic is increasing its focus on game publishing and will be hosting its inaugural games showcase, giving us a glimpse of what they have in store for the future. The showcase will be streamed on Panic’s YouTube channel at 1PM ET on August 29th.
The stream lasts about 20 minutes and includes more information about the previously announced games Nour: Play With Your Food and Despelote. In addition, Panic will introduce new games and reveal new partnerships. You’ll also get behind-the-scenes looks at some of the titles. “We thought it would be fun to put on a little show and tell the world about the amazing games we’ve been working on releasing from amazing developers around the world,” Panic founder Cabel Sasser said.
One thing you shouldn’t expect from showcases is Playdate news. On a positive note, Panic will be showing off some of the games that will be on display at both Gamescom and PAX West.
Hello! We have a lot to share about the video games we are publishing.
