Potential Causes of iPhone 15 Pro Max Overheating Problems Investigated
iPhone 15 Pro Max users have complained about major heating problems. They have seen iPhone temperatures rise while charging or even succumb to heavy use. That’s right, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has written a detailed post this week suggesting that Apple has made the iPhone 15 Pro Max lighter than previous models, which seems to have paid off.
Apple has made radical changes to the architecture of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which has moved the components of the device. It has helped the company make the Pro Max lighter, but the new A17 Pro chipset works at a level where the device clearly needs a cooling chamber, which is now a problem for people buying this year’s premium iPhone. Apple doesn’t even support fast charging on the new iPhones, so heating up your device at 20W speeds isn’t ideal.
And if that wasn’t enough, the use of titanium to make the iPhone 15 Pro model has also made it difficult for heat to dissipate. He mentions that Apple needs to consider rolling out a software update to minimize the heating effect, but that likely isn’t the only solution. Apple may also have to throttle the performance level of the A17 Pro chip to control heating issues, which can invariably degrade iPhone battery health faster than usual.
Apple has seen huge demand for the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year, mainly due to the new camera features. However, issues like heating can be detrimental to the business as people might consider buying an expensive iPhone because of these issues.
