Realme Ex-Chief Joins Honor India, Company Teases Comeback
Honor has officially activated its Indian handle this week, confirming reports of its return in the country. The company had to change its plans when it was part of Huawei, but since Honor separated from the Chinese telecommunications giant, Honor has operated much more freely and new products have been launched regularly.
Madhav Sheth also shared the update on social media, which also confirms that the former head of Realme India is indeed part of Honor’s latest push in the Indian market.

The company was rumored to exit the market earlier, which was to no avail, but maintained a “very safe approach” due to its ties to Huawei. But with the baggage out of the way, Honor and Sheth can start with a clean slate and offer consumers more choice from the company.
Honor is banking heavily on Sheth’s expertise and experience in building Realme in the country and hopes he will have a similar impact in their latest foray into India. As the festive season approaches, Honor is ready to talk about its roadmap for the country and the teaser suggests that an official announcement is coming soon. The brand has a solid selection of products, including folding products in its arsenal.
But to launch its India venture, Sheth and the brand could be looking at reports in the premium segment that suggest the Honor 90 could mark its comeback in the country. The company will probably introduce the product in September and have it on the shelves by October.
When Honor phones were available in the country, people liked the products for their quality and overall value. When the honor left the market, other Chinese brands like Redmi, Oppo and Vivo gained share, but these brands may face competition again, which should be exciting for buyers.
