Reddit confirms it was hacked and no user information was exposed

In reviewing the nature of the hack, Reddit emphasized that the phishing attack targeted Reddit employees, forcing them to click on a link to a website that was a clone of Reddit’s internal gateway. It appears that some employees fell into a trap and allowed hackers to penetrate internal systems, gaining access to company information.

Reddit is once again trying to reassure people that it has seen no evidence that user data was also exposed in the breach. And most of the leaked data includes limited information about hundreds of company contacts and employees.
