Renders of OnePlus Foldable Phone Revealed: Check Out the Design
In the coming months, OnePlus is set to release its inaugural foldable phone, and recently, the first design renders of the product have surfaced online. While the OnePlus Fold was briefly showcased during the launch of the OnePlus 11 smartphone earlier this year, the latest leaks from OnLeaks provide a more detailed look at the device. Additionally, the leaked information suggests that the phone may be named the OnePlus V Fold, a name that has been referenced on several trademark websites.
The design results suggest that the OnePlus Fold has a slimmer body than most foldables on the market. On the back is a round-shaped camera module powered by Hasselblad, like other recent OnePlus flagship phones.
The display appears to have thin bezels, giving the display extra real estate. As you can see here, the OnePlus Fold seems to have taken some design cues from the Oppo Find N2 Fold, but there are elements that relate to the OnePlus style. The folding design is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and even Oppo’s Find N2 Fold.
As a new model, we expect the phone to run on a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset with up to 16 GB of RAM. The Hasselblad camera unit could ideally get a 50-megapixel primary sensor as well as a telephoto sensor for better image results.
Expect OnePlus to offer a 2K AMOLED display for the Fold’s main and outer displays, as well as a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate display. OnePlus could also include a 100W fast charging battery in the OnePlus Fold model, which is becoming an ideal choice for most products.
So far, we’ve mostly heard about the OnePlus V Fold, but there are indications that OnePlus will also have a flip-style foldable phone in the V series. We’ll probably hear more about that in the coming weeks.
