Report suggests that the iPhone 16 may receive significant enhancements including 8GB RAM and support for Wi-Fi 6E.

Now that 2024 is here and the iPhone 15 series is four months old, new details about the next-generation iPhone 16 models are starting to emerge.

Analyst Jeff Pu has predicted that the next vanilla iPhones, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, could come with 8GB of RAM as standard, while the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus ship with 6GB of RAM , as spotted by MacRumors.

Pu reiterated this in a research note with investment firm Haitong International Securities. He stated that all iPhone models in the iPhone 16 series will have 8GB of RAM to improve performance and multitasking. It should be noted that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max already have 8 GB of RAM, which is more than the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

If you think about it, Apple has chosen different RAM for iPhone models many times before – the iPhone XR had 3GB of RAM compared to the iPhone XS’s 4GB of RAM, the iPhone 12 had 4GB of RAM compared to For iPhone 6 GB configuration. 12 Pro and other models are also delivered with different RAM memory. This means that the regular iPhone 16 models and the iPhone 16 Pro may be more similar to the current iPhone 15 models.

In addition, Pu believes that the iPhone 16 models will support Wi-Fi 6E, which will allow them to use 6 GHz frequencies for faster speeds. Currently, only the high-end iPhone 15 Pro models support this feature.

Keep in mind that this is all speculation for now, and Apple’s plans could change before the phones go into mass production. So take everything with a grain of salt until the new iPhones are released in September.
