Samsung Galaxy Ring Revealed at MWC 2024: What Features Can Users Anticipate in the Smart Ring?
Samsung has announced its presence at Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024) in a big way. The South Korean giant has entered the smart ring segment and as expected it is called Galaxy Ring. We have seen a few brands enter the tire market, especially Noise and Boat in India. But Samsung’s entry means the segment has serious prospects, and we’ll know later this year when the Galaxy Ring will be available in more countries.
It’s hardly surprising to see Samsung say the Ring will focus mostly on health features, for which it has a new app called My Vitality Score. This app doesn’t just track your health activities and offers tips to people if they need to improve something.
Samsung is expanding the ring to work with the Galaxy Watch, which is quite interesting because both devices should serve the same purpose. Having said that, people can finally have the freedom to sleep without a watch now that there is a ring that can track their health.
Another notable part of the Galaxy Ring is that Samsung is keeping it compatible with Samsung Galaxy phones for now, and we don’t even know when other Android phones or even iPhones will get support for the smart ring. As for the main things about the product, Samsung has not shared a possible price tag for the device, which we will know when it is released, probably in conjunction with the new Galaxy Z Fold lineup.
We also don’t know how long the smart ring will last due to its miniature form, but we’re hoping it will last at least a week, if not more. Luckily, Samsung has the Galaxy Ring in different sizes so people can try it before they buy.
