Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra coming with S Pen support

The Samsung Galaxy S21 is the next flagship to watch, and the smartphone has appeared in several leaks. The most recent suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will ship with the S Pen. This would be a big step for Samsung since the S Pen stylus is a registered trademark of the Galaxy Note.

The latest leak is from the Ice universe which is 100% sure that the S21 Ultra will be S Pen compatible. This matches a previous report which suggested the same, and that the Galaxy Note series will be replaced by the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold smartphone. There’s really no confirmation yet but with S Pen support on the Galaxy S21 Ultra, and Samsung offering large screens with the Galaxy Folds, it’s quite plausible.

The leaked Galaxy S21 series renderings also show a design quite similar to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The huge camera bump with sharp edges is quite distinct on Galaxy S21 phones. Samsung is also expected to launch three new phones this time around. The new flagship series will include the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra.

In addition to the S Pen, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 or Exynos 2100 chipset, a 108-megapixel main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone could also be launched with One UI 3.0 based on Android 11.

Samsung is reportedly launching the Galaxy S21 series in January, a month ahead of its usual schedule. Specifically, the Galaxy S21 phones could debut on January 14, 2021 with pre-orders starting the same day. The smartphones are expected to go on sale later on January 29.
