Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Could Feature Both ChatGPT and Google Assistant AI Technology
Samsung is undoubtedly late to the AI party, and even then it’s banking on two popular AI chatbots that will launch alongside the Galaxy S24 series of phones next year.
Google has already shown its cards with the artificial intelligence technology that works in the Pixel 8 series of phones this year, and now the South Korean mobile giant is ready to give its taste to consumers, albeit in a borrowed way.
In fact, according to reports, Samsung is claiming the Galaxy S24 models as the smartest AI smartphones ever, which seems like a tall order given that others have already made their AI in the market.
Bringing ChatGPT and Bard to smartphones is great, but it depends on how Samsung plans to integrate AI chatbots, because if it just wants to add them, the use cases can be similar to how they work in other apps and platforms. Considering Samsung’s past history with Bixby, its original AI product, you can hardly be surprised to see people doubting this supposed AI integration.
Samsung had previously banned its employees from using ChatGPT for work purposes, calling it a security risk if their confidential information leaked onto the Internet. Now the same company wants to bring an AI chatbot to its phones for consumers, which will be interesting to watch if it comes to the next flagship phones.
There’s no doubt that mobile chipsets are now as powerful as PCs and capable of running AI applications, something we might hear Qualcomm talk about when it launches its next flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen chip in the coming days. Either way, we can’t wait to see how AI evolves in the mobile space and allows more people to use these features on their smartphones.
