No Sight of Garena Free Fire India After Two Months – Mobile Gamers Still Waiting!
Garena Free Fire India was announced amid much fanfare a couple of months ago and the company said the game has been delayed for a few weeks since then. The company said that complying with local norms and also refining the gameplay for users will take additional time. But that was at the beginning of September and now it’s been two months since the news broke. So where is Garena’s Free Fire India game for Android users?
We checked the availability of the game on the Play Store and it still says that you can pre-register to install the game on your phone and when the game is officially available, you will get the game installed automatically. To pre-register for the game, you can register in the Google Play Store by clicking this link. You can also enable the “Auto Install” switch to have the game automatically download when it’s released.
We have also reached out to Garena for an official update on the release of Free Fire India and will update the story with their statement once we hear back from them.
Free Fire India is Garena’s take on the popular Battle Royale game, completely redesigned for Indian gaming. Garena is partnering with Yotta to provide a cloud service in India, allowing the developer to comply with the country’s regulations.
We’ve previously seen Krafton do something similar when it announced the popular PUBG Mobile as Battleground Mobile India (BGMI) earlier this year. Krafton has also set up its BGMI store locally with the help of its partners who can ensure that all the information of BGMI users in India is in-country.
