Apple and Infosys have recently partnered with SRM Institute of Science and Technology to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in this field. The university has taken a significant step by integrating iOS application development into its IT curriculum.
Although the course is currently offered as an elective, plans are underway to award academic credit for this course. This collaboration goes beyond traditional education. It equips students with the tools, mentorship, and real-world experiences they need to succeed in the competitive technology industry. Students have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art coding platforms such as XCode and Swift Playgrounds and gain hands-on skills in developing iOS apps. In addition, Infosys provides internship opportunities that allow students to apply their knowledge in real scenarios.
According to a report by Indian Express, Apple will also provide mentoring and additional resources to teachers and students participating in this course. On the other hand, students can also get the opportunity to practice. There are currently 50 students in the course. SRM University plans to increase the number of students to 100 next year. This can be a truly revolutionary step to increase the skillful young minds of our country.
The course has been quite successful, it has developed several applications that are excellent in scope and vision, and much more is expected in the future. The application environment covers everything from pets to space, so the outlook for the segment is exceptionally bright.
