Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G Release Date Announced – September 22

Smartphone brand Tecno has confirmed that it will launch its first flip-style foldable smartphone, the Phantom V Flip 5G, this month. According to the company, Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G will be introduced on September 22. In addition to the flip phone, the company is also introducing the 14-inch Tecno Megbook T1 laptop.

Both devices will be unveiled at Flip In Style TECNO Flagship Product Launch 2023 in Singapore on September 22. “Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is the latest innovation based on Tecno’s ‘Go Premium’ strategy,” the company said in a media call.

What to expect

According to reports, the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is expected to launch in Film White, Minimal Black and Periwinkle Purple color options. Gadgets360 reports that the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G features a 6.9-inch AMOLED Full HD+ primary display and a 1.32-inch AMOLED exterior panel with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels.

The Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is expected to pack an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage.

Tecno’s foldable phone is likely to come pre-installed with Android 13. The Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is expected to come with two batteries, one with a capacity of 1,165 mAh and another with a capacity of 2,735 mAh, marketed together with a total battery support of 4,000 mAh.

A previous leak also indicated that this foldable phone is likely to support fast charging at 45W. Coming to the cameras, the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is likely to feature a 64-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor at the rear. The front camera is likely to be a 32-megapixel sensor placed in the center of the punch hole at the top of the screen.

In terms of pricing, Paras Guglani has also claimed that the Phantom V Flip is one of the cheapest foldable devices with a price tag below Rs 50,000.
