Tips for Keeping Your Instagram Online Status Private

For example, if you wish to conceal your Instagram Activity Status, you can easily do so by following these straightforward steps. Instagram, a widely-used photo-sharing app owned by Meta, enables users to connect and engage with others.
Activity status on Instagram:
With Instagram’s “Activity Status” feature, the people you follow and the people you message can see when you were last active or currently online. This feature is similar to other platforms like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. If you’re concerned about your privacy and want to keep your online presence discreet, you can turn off Show Activity Status. If you want to maintain a sense of privacy and control your activity status on Instagram, you can disable it by following these steps:
Turn off activity mode on Instagram
Open the Instagram app:
Go to the Instagram app on your device. If you are not logged in yet, enter your credentials to access your account.
Use your profile:
Go to the profile icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Go to settings:
There are three horizontal lines in the upper right corner of your profile page. Tap these lines to open the settings menu.
Select “Settings and privacy”:
In the settings menu, find and tap the “Settings and privacy” option.
Use messages and story responses:
In the Settings and Privacy menu, find the Messages and Story Replies section. Tap it to continue.
Turn off “Show activity status”:
In the “Messages and Story Replies” section, you will find the “Show Activity Status” option. Tap it to access the toggle switch. Tap the toggle switch to turn the mode off.
After you turn off Show Activity Status, your activity status will no longer be visible to others. Keep in mind that when you do that, you won’t be able to see the activity status of other users either.
