During the 12th edition of INSIGHT: The DNA of Success, held at the Isha Foundation, Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal emphasized the significance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in cultural assimilation and its potential for everyday use by the common man. Aggarwal urged the country to develop AI using Indian data to ensure its widespread adoption.
Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru said AI is growing faster than people in tech could imagine.
“I hope it happens sooner than now so that people can understand the value of ‘being’ and how to be becomes the most valuable thing in the world,” Sadhguru said.
Ola Electric raises 3200 kr to fund electric cars
Notably, in October, Ola Electric said it had raised ₹3,200 crore from lead investors Temasek and State Bank of India.
The company announced that it has successfully closed a funding round from investors led by Temasek and State Bank of India.
The funds raised will be used to expand Ola’s electric car business and set up India’s first lithium-ion cell manufacturing facility in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, the company said in a statement.
The Bengaluru-based company is looking to accelerate its growth by increasing its two-wheeler manufacturing capacity, launching electric motorcycles followed by electric cars and speeding up the construction of a giant factory, it added.
“At Ola, our vision is to end the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) age in cars, and our upcoming gigafactory is a big leap in India’s journey towards becoming a global electric car hub. We are committed to developing core technologies in electric cars and cells. Rapidly ramping up production to accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility”, Ola Electric founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said.
Ola Electric was selected by the State Council under the ambitious cellular PLI program and will receive a maximum capacity of 20 GWh.
