Vertex AI Platform by Google Now Available to the Public
The general public can now access Google’s generative AI support on the Vertex AI platform, as announced by the company. Google Cloud’s cloud-based machine learning platform, Vertex AI, provides a complete solution for creating and implementing ML models.
In a blog post, Google Cloud stated, “We’re committed to making generative AI accessible and valuable to everyone. This requires not only providing powerful foundational models, but also robust platforms that enable rapid and secure deployment and are suitable for organizations regardless of their expertise.”
With this update, Google Cloud customers can take advantage of the latest platform capabilities to build and deploy unique creative AI applications.
Developers can now take advantage of various features such as the text model produced by PaLM 2, the text Embeddings API, and other basic models available in the Model Garden. Generative AI Studio offers user-friendly tools for refining and deploying models.
Model Garden offers more than 60 accessible models that allow users to try basic models from Google and its partners.
Vertex AI offers a comprehensive tool ecosystem that supports model developers in the fine-tuning, deployment and management of production models.
Google also announced a public preview of its Codey template, designed for code completion, creation, and discussion.
Vertex AI’s generative AI support was originally announced in March and has been improved and developed in collaboration with trusted testers, Google revealed.
