Vivo X100 Series To Be Released On November 13 In China
The Chinese technology giant Vivo is launching its flagship X100 series smartphones in its home country. The company will announce at least three new phones – Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro and Vivo X100 Pro+ on November 13 at 4:30 PM (IST) in China. According to reports, the Vivo X100 series is expected to feature MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9300 chipset.
Just before the official launch, a Chinese tipster has revealed the specifications of the Vivo X100 series camera. The regular Vivo X100 is expected to feature a triple rear camera system, with the main camera also said to feature a Sony IMX920 main sensor, Gadgets360 reported.
According to a tipster named Digital Chat Station who shared the information on Weibo, the Vivo X100’s rear camera is expected to include a Sony IMX920 main sensor, a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 wide-angle lens with a 15mm focal length, and OmniVision. OV64B periscope telemacro camera with 3x optical zoom.
The camera system is called “Vario-Tessar” and can cover a range of f/1.57 to f/2.57 aperture and 15mm to 70mm focal length. Additionally, the phone is rumored to have a 1.5K BOE curved display with a punch hole in the middle, according to the report. The Vivo X100 series is expected to be the first to use Low Power Double Data Rate 5 Turbo (LPDDR5T) technology, according to the report.
Meanwhile, Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO recently confirmed the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 12, in India. This iQOO 11 successor will be launched in the country on December 12, a month after its China launch on November 7.
The company has already confirmed that its upcoming iQOO 12 series will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The smartphone maker has also claimed that the iQOO 12 series will be the first to feature Qualcomm’s most powerful processor in India.
