X Developing Profile Post Sorting Functionality

Elon Musk-owned X is working on a new feature that will allow users to sort messages on someone’s profile. A screenshot posted by X designer Andrea Conway suggests the feature will allow users to sort messages into “New,” “Liked,” or “Most Viewed.”

“This is going to be cool,” Musk commented.

Conway did not specify when the feature will be rolled out publicly or whether it will be limited to X Premium subscribers. Several users expressed their thoughts on Conway’s post.

When one user asked: “Awesome!! Are we going to add more comment sorting?”, Conway replied: “yep!”

In response to another post suggesting a time frame would also be useful, he said: “baby steps bestie”.

Last week, the Musk-led company had announced that paid subscribers could choose to hide account checkmarks.

Even if the checkmark is hidden in users’ profile and messages, the checkmark may still appear in some places and some features may still reveal that they have an active subscription.

Some features may not be available when the check mark is hidden. “We’re continuing to develop this feature to make it better for you,” the social media platform added.

Users can hide the check mark in the Customize Profile section of their account settings.

Musk had also denied a report that claimed the company was planning to launch its own stock trading system.

When a user posted “JUST IN: Twitter/X plans to launch own stock trading via XNewsDaily.”

Musk denied the report, saying, “To the best of my knowledge, there is no work being done here.”
