X Gives Option to Conceal Verified Badge for X Blue Subscribers
X Blue, formerly known as Twitter Blue, is introducing an intriguing addition for its paid members. As many are aware, acquiring a blue tick (verified badge) on their X profile requires subscribing to the X Blue service, which also grants access to the tweet editing feature and the capability to upload Full HD videos.
But now the platform is offering people the option to hide their verified ID if they want to do so. The feature is available from the X app (formerly known as Twitter) settings, but only if you’ve paid for an X Blue subscription. Being able to hide the blue tick on Twitter/X seems like an odd addition, especially when people are paying to use the service and verify their accounts. You can go to the X app settings (both Android and iOS users) – go to Profile Customization where you can hide the blue check mark.
However, the platform makes people aware that if you hide the blue checkmark from your account, some of the features you paid for may not be available. Elon Musk continues to experiment with features and also builds a whole new platform by turning Twitter into X on mobile and web.
It’s pretty hard to see the point of letting people hide their verified accounts if they can’t use some of the paid features. It is possible that Musk feels that there are people who do not want everyone to know that they have paid for a verified token. So if you have been planning to get a blue tick on your account, we hope this feature works for you.
X-branding is progressing at a rapid pace. In fact, the TweetDeck branding has also been confirmed, which the platform now uses as XPro, and will soon become a paid feature for these people.
