ISRO Aided by Tata, Godrej and 6 Other Companies for Chandrayaan 3

Chandrayaan-3: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Wednesday created history by soft landing Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon’s south pole, making India the fourth country to achieve this and the first to soft land on the south side of the moon.

But how many of you are aware that the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission is due to the important help of private sector partners together?

Private sector brands such as Godrej Aerospace, Bharat Heavy Electricals, Larsen and Tourbon Aviation Wing, Mishra Dhatu Nigam, MTAR Technologies, Tata Consulting Engineers Limited (TCE) and Walchandnagar Industries played key roles in supplying components and materials for the Chandrayaan-3 mission. .

1. Larsen and Toubro’s air wing

L&T’s aerospace division supplied critical components for the launch of Chandrayaan 3. This included the main amplifiers such as the head, middle and nozzle bucket parts, e.g.

2. Walchandnagar Industries

According to the media, the company supplied the critical booster segments S200 used in the launch vehicle, flex nozzle control tanks and S200 Flex nozzle hardware.

3. Mishra Dhatu Nigam

The company supplied important materials such as cobalt-based alloys, nickel-based alloys, titanium alloys and special steels for various parts of the launch vehicle used in the Moon mission.

4. Godrej Aerospace

Godrej Aerospace reportedly produced key engines and thrusters, including the L110 for the core stage and the CE20 engine thrust chamber for the upper stage.

5. Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE)

TCE created important indigenous systems and subsystems for the project, which played an important role in launching the operation,

6. Ankit Aerospace

According to reports, the company supplied alloy steel, stainless steel fasteners and specially made titanium bolts that improve the durability and performance of the mission.

Chandrayaan-3’s batteries were supplied by Bharat Heavy Electricals. BHEL’s Welding Research Institute (WRI) was also responsible for supplying bimetallic adapters to Chandrayaan 3, according to reports.
