JLab Offers Affordable Wireless Earbuds for Just $40
JLab’s latest model of earbuds aims to significantly decrease size and weight while maintaining affordability and performance. The JBuds Mini, which was initially introduced in December, is a remarkably compact wireless earbud set that comes with a charging case smaller than a car key fob. Priced at $40, these earbuds may not have advanced features such as active noise cancellation (ANC), but they do offer essential functionalities like customizable touch controls, transparency mode, multipoint Bluetooth, and impressive battery life. JLab ensured that no compromises were made on these fundamental aspects.
The company explains that the JBuds Mini are 30 percent smaller than its already slim Go Air Pop headphones. It also reduced the size of the new case by 50 percent compared to the case that came with the previous model. Inside the headphones, 6mm dynamic drivers handle audio, while noise-canceling microphones are included for phone calls. The Mini’s Bluetooth multipoint feature allows you to connect to multiple devices at the same time and easily switch between them when needed.
The touch controls cover functions such as play/pause, adjusting the volume, answering calls, activating Be Aware (transparency mode), scrolling through EQ presets and calling the voice assistant. You can further customize these gestures in the JLab app, which also lets you change the EQ settings. JLab says you can expect more than five and a half hours of battery life on the headphones themselves, and more than 20 hours of total playtime, including the charging case. JBuds Minis are also IP55 rated, so they offer some protection from dust and moisture. Finally, Google Fast Pair is in the specs, making it quick and easy to connect with compatible devices.
The JBuds Mini will be available on September 1st in Mint, Sage, Pink, Aqua and Black color options.
