G20 Summit In India: Delhi Residents To Benefit From Faster 5G Speeds And Reduced Call Drops
Mobile users in Delhi could get faster 5G speeds and fewer calls in the coming weeks thanks to the G20 summit in the capital. The Indian government has mentioned that it has rapidly upgraded the 5G network infrastructure in Delhi to meet the demands of international dignitaries and help local people access high-speed 5G networks and face fewer call drops.
One of the main reasons for the upgrade is related to the number of base stations now operating in the city, which has dropped from 5,718 to 10,662, this report adds.
5G networks were launched in the region earlier this year, allowing millions to access the high-speed network on their smartphones. But Delhi’s population density means that data speeds have generally been lower than claimed, but the addition of double transceiver stations, or BTSs, seems to be helping to increase the speed range for consumers.
People visiting the G20 summit venue will be provided with free Wi-Fi facilities for the entire Bharat Mandapam complex inside Pragati Maidan.
As diplomats and ministers arrive from different parts of the world, the government is also realizing the need for mobile OTP and making SIM activation more lenient, as their passport only requires a local SIM card for payment. order food and much more.
However, the ministry is clear that the one-time SIM activation procedure is only available to foreigners and officials visiting the country for the G20 summit, which will be held on September 9-10.
