WhatsApp update: Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is rolling out a “messages stored” section in the chat data of some beta testers. This feature can be used to prevent messages from disappearing so they can last forever for everyone in the chat

With the Keep Message feature, messages are not automatically deleted from the chat and are visible to all participants in the conversation. Instead, users can control the conversation and can choose to un-retain a message at any time. disappear from the chat forever.

“The feature was in development for a long time, but when we installed the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.4.10 update from the Play Store (the business version of the app), we noticed that WhatsApp is now rolling out this feature to some beta testers,” WABetaInfo reported.

According to the report, a new section called “saved messages” will appear in the chat data if the feature is available on your WhatsApp account. When someone keeps a disappearing message, it will no longer disappear from the chat after it expires, but everyone can still manage these messages because they can be deleted at any time.

This section lists all saved messages so that everyone in the conversation can easily find them in the future. Please note that the disappearing message cannot be preserved as this feature is available in the future.

In addition, when it is possible to prevent messages from disappearing, the option to mark messages as starred and the starred messages section of the chat data is removed for disappearing chats, the report says.

The Saved Messages section is available to some beta testers who install the latest update of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Play Store, and it’s coming to even more people in the coming days.
