Apple MacBook Air M1 Available At Amazon For Rs 52,999
Apple’s MacBook Air M1 will be available at an effective price of Rs 52,999 during Amazon’s Great Indian Festival sale starting on October 8 in India, as per the official banner listing we spotted on the Amazon shopping app.
Now, the key word here is ‘powerful’, which means the device is not available at Rs 52,999, but that price is achievable after certain offers.
MacBook Air M1: Here’s how this deal works
The MacBook Air M1 currently retails at Rs 99,990, but during the Amazon Great Indian Festival sale, everyone without a card or trade-in offer will be offered a fixed price of Rs 62,990.
Now, if you have an SBI credit card, you can still get a bank discount of Rs 3,500, bringing the price down to Rs 59,490. Coupled with the trade-in bonus discount, one can get around Rs 6,491 for the ‘i3 laptop’, as Amazon points out. This brings the total discount rate to 52,999 rubles.
Hence, it is clear that not everyone would be able to replace their old laptops. Even if you forget that, the price is still Rs 59,490 and that price is quite a deal if you ask us.
Is the MacBook Air M1 still a good investment despite three years of age?
The MacBook Air M1 is still a great laptop for many things, even though it’s three years old. It’s still fast and responsive for everyday tasks, and can handle even more demanding applications like Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Photoshop.
We’ve been using this very laptop with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and we’ve had no issues with it slowing down, even when editing 4K footage or opening a bunch of tabs in Safari while doing research.
While it may experience minor issues when heavily tasked or with high RAM usage, there are very few options on the market that match this offering from Apple.
Apple will also continue to support this laptop for years to come and it recently received the macOS Sonoma update which works quite well on the laptop. We can definitely recommend this laptop at this price point, and it might be a much better option for someone looking to invest in a Windows laptop at around the same price, unless it’s for a specific task that you can only do on Windows. The MacBook Air M1 is available in three different finishes: silver, space gray and gold.
