Report Suggests Apple Watch X Unlikely To Feature Micro-LED Display By 2024
Cupertino-based tech giant Apple may not bring major changes to the Apple Watch X series in 2024. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently reported that the 2024 Apple Watch is unlikely to offer significant innovative experiences and will not adopt a micro-LED display.
According to MacRumors, Kuo said in a recent Medium post that the Apple Watch will not feature a micro-LED display or a blood glucose meter in 2024. He also added that adding these features is at least two years away. Apple Watch.
“It is unclear whether Kuo’s predictions rule out the rumored Apple Watch X launch next year. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said the significantly redesigned Apple Watch X will be released in either 2024 or 2025 to mark the device’s 10th anniversary, MacRumors said.
Contrary to Kuo’s report, Gurman claimed that the Apple Watch X would be equipped with a slimmer case and possibly a magnetic strap attachment system. And if the device doesn’t launch until 2025, maybe the rumored micro-LED display will be ready as well.
Kuo also said in his report that Apple Watch shipments are expected to fall to 36-38 million units in 2023, which is about a 15 percent decrease compared to the same time last year. However, he said the integration of the Apple Watch with Apple’s upcoming Vision Pro headset could “create an unparalleled and innovative healthcare experience that enhances delivery.
“The Apple Watch is a classic example of a product that succeeded through repositioning. However, based on the current delivery rate, it may have to switch again if there is an unfortunate year-on-year decline in 2024,” he added.
Meanwhile, Apple’s mixed reality headset Vision Pro, which the iPhone maker calls a “space computer,” supports screen mirroring via AirPlay or FaceTime. Apple’s space computer was unveiled earlier this year for $3,499.
However, the Vision Pro headset will be available in the US in early 2024 before expanding to other countries later.
According to a MacRumors report, you can mirror your Vision Pro screen to an external monitor or TV, or share your view with others via AirPlay or FaceTime.
