iPadOS update fixes a major security problem for iPads: Get it now
Apple users are getting a new security update this week that the company wants everyone to update immediately. This update is aimed at iPad users running the iPadOS platform on their device.
The iPadOS 16.3.1 update is a minor update that basically includes important bug fixes and security updates for your iPad, as mentioned in the update note for iPad users.
In addition to iPadOS, iPhone users received a similar update earlier this week with iOS 16.3.1. According to information on Apple’s support page, the update was released on February 13.
iPadOS 16.3.1 Download size is 149MB and is supported on iPad models starting with iPad Air 3rd generation, iPad 5th generation, iPad Pro models and even iPad mini 5th generation. As for iPhone users, anyone with an iPhone 8 model or later should update to iOS 16.3.1 immediately to avoid any possible damage to their device.
The security issue affected the kernel as well as the Apple Webkit application. Apple explains that the vulnerability could allow an app to execute arbitrary code. With regard to WebKit, the concerns are greater because Apple believes that a problem related to WebKit may have been actively exploited.
How to install iPadOS 16.3.1 on iPad
