How To Send Voice Notes On WhatsApp In View Once Mode
After announcing a “view once” privacy feature for photos and videos, Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is now rolling out a new feature that will allow users to share voice notes with view once mode enabled.
This feature makes it possible to share voice notes with a new level of privacy as they cannot be saved, forwarded or exported.
“After installing the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.22.4 update from Google Play Store and WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.21.1.73 update from TestFlight, some beta testers may try this feature,” WABetaInfo, a website that follows WhatsApp. reported.
A screenshot shared by WABetaInfo revealed that the new view when the icon is available in the chat bar when recording a voice memo with lock. When you tap this icon, the voice memo will be sent in one-time mode, so the recipient cannot export, forward, save, or record it.
Once a voice memo is sent while the view is enabled, users can’t listen to it, and the recipient can no longer listen to the voice memo after dismissing it.
This mode effectively minimizes the possibility of unauthorized access or eavesdropping and provides a new layer of protection for sensitive and confidential information.
The report suggested that this new feature of WhatsApp will give users more control and privacy when sharing voice notes, as these voice notes cannot be exported, forwarded or shared with others.
“We believe this will ultimately eliminate the risk of your personal or sensitive information falling into the wrong hands and add an extra level of privacy to your messages. Additionally, we can confirm that your voice notes cannot be saved or saved by recipients, improving control over what you share and safeguarding your privacy,” the report said
