Unlock the Power of Generative AI with YouTube and Google!

YouTube has recently experienced a surge in artificial intelligence (AI) advancements, introducing various noteworthy features to its video streaming platform. In September, the platform unveiled AI-driven tools that enable anyone to become a creator on YouTube. These tools include Dream Screen, YouTube Create, and other AI features that simplify video editing. Currently, YouTube is preparing for another significant AI advancement as Google has commenced testing new generative AI features aimed at enhancing the overall viewing experience. Stay informed about these developments.

YouTube – Generative AI Update

Google announced in a blog post that it has begun testing two major generative AI-based tools – Comment Topic Summarization and a Conversational AI Tool. The Comment Topics feature, summarized by an artificial intelligence feature, organizes the large comment sections of long videos into selected themes. A handful of users may see the new sorting by topics in selected videos. Google says that content creators can use these comment summaries to quickly jump into comment discussions. It can also help to know what their audience is talking about and create content along the way.

On the other hand, the chat AI tool allows users to ask questions about currently playing videos and get recommendations for related content. Users can also take quizzes and receive answers that “encourage deeper understanding” of academic videos. Those who can use this feature will see a new Ask button below the Choose Videos option.

Google has announced that the Comment Topic Summary feature is available to YouTube Premium members for select English-language videos with large comment sections. Meanwhile, the conversational AI tool will be available to YouTube Premium members using Android devices in the US in the coming weeks.

To use these features, go to https://www.youtube.com/new. Google said: “These features are experimental, and we may not always get them right. That’s why we’re starting with a small availability and gathering feedback. Each trial allows you to submit feedback directly in the tool.”
