Here’s How Apple Plans to Simplify Choosing an iPad Model in 2024

Most of us would agree that Apple’s current iPad lineup can be confusing for buyers because it doesn’t give them enough reasons to upgrade or consider choosing a budget model.

The company has even seen demand for iPads decline, which is evident in its recent financials. However, Apple is ready to raise the bar in 2024 and ensure that the iPad has a clear identity, starting with the basic iPad all the way up to the iPad Pro versions.

According to reports, the company is preparing for a spring 2024 launch event where we can see all-new iPad Air and Pro models, as well as more M3-powered Macs.

However, all eyes are on the new iPads, which are expected to receive a major overhaul so that people can make an easy decision on their next iPad. The base iPads continue to cater to first-timers, now only offering a USB-C option instead of two different base iPads.

Similarly, the iPad Air collection has an M2 powerful processor, which means the end of the A14-bionic model from the market. Apple wants to offer the M2 chipset for the iPad Air, which will likely be offered in a 10.9-inch and a new 12.9-inch screen size.

The biggest updates will come to the new iPad Pros equipped with the M3 chipset, and a new 13-inch model will be added to the portfolio. That’s not all, expect an OLED screen in the iPad Pros, which should once again push the price levers of the iPad range.

Keeping Apple’s iPad range light is paramount so that buyers can choose the ideal iPad model for their use and budget. Having two iPads in the same price range hasn’t helped the company’s cause in recent years, but the new plan looks more feasible and hopefully buyers will see it that way.
