Here’s What These Special AirPods Rival Offer, But They Come at a Price of Over Rs 1.30 Lakh
Today, wireless earbuds sell for around Rs 2,000 to 25-30,000, but what if we tell you that one brand sells TWS earphones for more than $1,660, which is around Rs 1,38,000 in India? That’s right, these premium headphones come from luxury brand Louis Vuitton and are called the Horizon Light Up.
The company is known for premium bags, jewelry, watches, and perfumes, but now it seems to have entered the premium audio market with a new product.
So what is so special about Louis Vuitton headphones? The company’s product information says the headphones are made of a sapphire glass top plate with a blue to purple gradient print.
Each bud weighs 8.2 grams, probably due to the material used to make them. The charging case for these knobs is made of stainless steel with an LED light ring. In terms of features, the headphones come with 11mm beryllium drivers and a pair of omnidirectional microphones. You can get them in ambient and hybrid noise canceling modes, and the Louis Vuitton Connect app is your smartphone’s hub for controlling the earbuds.
The knobs get an IPX5 rating making them waterproof and you have mechanical buttons to control playback. The charging case is IPX4 rated to protect against water, supports wired and wireless charging, and is claimed to go from zero to 100% in 40 minutes.
When you go through these features, you don’t get a lot of extra stuff compared to the AirPods Pro 2nd gen, which come in at ⅙ the price of these Louis Vuitton headphones, but then it’s all about the brand and them using materials like sapphire certainly play a role in that hefty price tag. If you thought Apple charging Rs 70,000 for wireless headphones was crazy, Louis Vuitton takes it to the next level with these headphones.
