Amazon Prime Lite subscription in India is now available at Rs 799 compared to its original price of Rs 999 for a year. The Rs 200 price cut suggests that the company wants to bring more people onto the platform and this move could help them do that.

By comparison, a standard Prime subscription includes faster shipping options, such as one-day and same-day shipping. Also, for urgent orders, they have the option of availing Amazon morning delivery for an additional Rs. 175 per order.
Prime Lite leverages the streaming quality of Prime Video and offers unlimited HD video streaming on two mobile devices. Regular Prime members, on the other hand, can stream 4K quality on up to six devices simultaneously. However, Prime Lite subscribers cannot access Prime Music content.
Amazon Prime Lite comes with ads, which will soon become part of the regular Prime subscription as well. These ads will be “limited” in nature, and the company says its implementation will allow it to continue investing in creating quality content for its viewers.
Amazon has recently confirmed that starting January 29, 2024, Amazon subscribers will have to pay $2.99 (roughly Rs. 240) per month in countries like the US, UK, Germany, and Canada. Amazon might bring it to markets like India in the near future.
