Galaxy S24 Series Now Equipped with Samsung’s Google Gemini Pro Generative AI Capability

Samsung has become the first smartphone brand to partner with Google Cloud to bring Gemini Pro – Google’s generative AI technology to smartphones. The new Galaxy S24 series smartphones feature Gemini Pro and Imagen 2 with Vertex AI to produce new text, audio and image capabilities.

According to Samsung, Gemini can generalize and seamlessly understand, act on, and combine different types of data, including text, code, images, and videos. From Samsung’s original apps, users can rely on the summary feature in Notes, Voice Recorder, and Keyboard. Vertex AI’s Gemini Pro offers Samsung important Google Cloud features such as security, safety, privacy and data compatibility.

Users of the Galaxy S24 series can also immediately benefit from Imagen 2, Google’s most advanced text-to-image diffusion technology from Google DeepMind. With Vertex AI’s Imagen 2, Samsung can bring safe and intuitive photo editing capabilities into the hands of users. These features can be found in Generative Edit2 of S24’s Gallery app.

As part of this partnership, Samsung is also one of the first brands to test Gemini Ultra, Google’s most powerful and largest model for highly complex tasks. The S24 series also runs Gemini Nano, the Android 14 operating system as part of the device’s LLM delivered, which is Gemini’s most powerful model for the device’s tasks.
