Dates for Google I/O 2024 Revealed: Anticipated AI Developments, Pixel Updates, and More
2024 is only three months away, but Google is already gearing up for a big annual developer even in the next few months. That’s right, the Google I/O 2024 bugle has been heard and we also know when the next Google conference will be held this year. Google uses the I/O platform to show off a new version of Android, some major Pixel releases like last year’s Pixel Fold, and other key developer products that set the stage for platform development. Sundar Pichai will once again take the stage and lead the panel along with his leaders to talk about AI, pixels and more.
Google I/O 2024 dates and timing
Google I/O 2024 begins on May 14, with the event’s keynote starting at 10:00 AM ET (10:30 PM IST). You can watch the keynote live on Google’s YouTube page and on the Google I/O 2024 event page.
Google I/O 2024 Keynote: What to expect
Google is expected to continue its focus on AI this year, and we may hear more about its Android apps. Pixel phones have already been boosted with the Gemini Nano AI model, but the company could have something in store for affordable devices as well. Google has a big plan for its AI products, and now it plans to bring it to a wider audience.
We also expect to see or even learn more about Google’s recently accidentally leaked Google Pixel 8a model, which more or less confirms its presence at the I/O 2024 keynote. We hope that Google’s Pixel Fold 2 or Table 2 will also appear in a few months, and at the same time we will share information about Android 15, which is already available in a closed beta avatar.
Google could also hold a session on a new look for WearOS 5, which should advance the recent work with battery technology. AI will be at the forefront of the event, and we’d be surprised if Pichai doesn’t start the AI-downing meme again.
