Apple Watch Series 9 discounted to all-time low of $280 for Prime Day
Now is the perfect opportunity to purchase the Apple Watch Series 9, as it is currently available for $280 during Amazon Prime Day. This marks a significant discount of $119 compared to its original price, and is $15 cheaper than its previous lowest price. However, it seems that this deal is only applicable to the smaller 41mm model.
It’s our best smartwatch for 2024 so far, even though it first became available in September of last year. We gave the Apple Watch Series 9 a score of 92 and praised its on-device Siri for its ability to work offline and even when the wearable isn’t connected to a phone. If you don’t want to take your phone with you to the gym, for example, that’s not a problem: you can still ask Siri on your watch for health information, such as the number of your own steps.
The company also improved the “Raise to Speak” feature for Siri on the Watch 9, so it can better anticipate your requests and respond faster without you having to say “Hey Siri” or press the Digital Crown button. Apple also introduced the Double Tap gesture in the model, which allows you to answer calls, reply to messages and perform other actions by simply tapping your thumb and index finger together twice.
We found that Double Tap makes life easier when you’re doing other things but still have one hand free, like cleaning or reading a book. However, you may need to practice a bit to get the cadence right, as the watch may not register the gesture if it’s too fast or too subtle.
In addition, the Watch 9 has some comprehensive and advanced health features, including an ECG feature and an oxygen sensor. It has a sleep tracker that also detects how much time you’ve spent in REM, Core or Deep sleep. The bottom line is that you can get one of the best smartwatches for less than ever, and you might want to grab this opportunity while the deal is still on.
