WhatsApp Developing Revamped Group Settings Screen For iPhone
According to reports, WhatsApp is preparing to launch a fresh interface for the group settings screen on iOS. Those who have installed the latest update from the App Store and are group administrators can now test out this revamped screen.
“With a redesigned user interface, WhatsApp makes it easier for group admins to manage their group, including new controls for deciding who can add members to a group. While the redesigned group settings screen isn’t mentioned in the official changelog, we can confirm that it’s widely used,” WABetaInfo reported.
In addition to the revamped user interface, the Meta-owned messaging app also introduces a new feature called “Add other participants.” This feature allows group administrators to choose who has the authority to add new members to the group. It’s worth noting that users who don’t currently have access to this feature may get it gradually over the coming weeks.
The updated group settings screen is now available for iOS users who have installed the latest WhatsApp update from the App Store. Additionally, it will be rolled out to users who are part of the beta. Also, regularly update your WhatsApp from the App Store and TestFlight to get the feature in the future if you don’t have it after installing this update.
Meanwhile. the instant messaging app recently launched a new one-way broadcasting tool called Channels, where admins can send text, photos, videos, stickers and polls to followers.
According to the company, users in Colombia and Singapore will be the first to get access to the channels. Over the coming months, the Meta-owned app will expand the availability of the tool to users in more countries.
As a channel administrator, your phone number and profile picture remain hidden from followers, ensuring that your personal information is always protected.
