PUBG Mobile India officials ask to meet MeitY after FAU-G registrations go live
PUBG Mobile India had announced just before Diwali that they would be launching into the country much to the relief of PUBG Mobile fans who haven’t been able to play the game for months now.
However, we do not yet have an official launch date for PUBG Mobile India and to add to their problems, the Indian alternative to battle royale – FAU-G – has launched their game registrations on the Play Store now.
With the aim of finally launching the PUBG Mobile India game, relevant officials have requested a meeting with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
PUBG Mobile has been banned by MeitY and the company needs their permission to start operating in the country. According to a report from InsideSport, sources within MeitY said the meeting, if and when it takes place, may pave the way for the game’s revival. However, these sources also said it will not be easy. for PUBG Mobile to relaunch in India until at least February 2021.
On the other hand, FAU-G registrations went live on November 30, so the game is expected to launch in the country soon.
PUBG Mobile might technically have no reason to be concerned about FAU-G, as it already has a very strong fan base in the country, all of whom are waiting for the game’s return. But like the official version of PUBG Mobile India is taking a long time to become official, some of these fans could be influenced by the FAU-G side.
Any prohibited entity can only function by creating a new company. This is what even Tik Tok or anyone else can do. They will need to obtain clearances from MEITY to operate in India again, a source told InsideSports.
So a company registered in India is not yet a green signal. For now, if a person or business wants to legitimately operate in India, they must have a PAN card and / or GST number – PUBG Mobile India does not yet have one.
