Google Sheets AI Duet Creates Personalized Templates
Google Workspace testers can now explore an additional Duet AI feature. A new sidebar for Google Sheets is available for them to use, allowing them to specify their desired actions. Duet AI can then generate a personalized template to assist them in getting started. This feature is now accessible as of today.
According to Google, this can be useful for those who want to complete tasks that involve complex organization and tracking. The company suggests product plans, company retreats and team budgets as possible use cases. If the feature works as intended, it can save users a lot of time. It is currently available in Workspace Labs.
Google has been rapidly expanding its AI tools since announcing Duet for Workspace at its I/O conference last month. When testers type a prompt in the online version of Docs, Duet can generate text for them. It can also automatically add smart chips.
In Gmail, AI can draft emails both online and on mobile. It can also provide contextual suggestions for answers. As for slides, testers can create images from text prompts.
Google plans to bring more generative AI features to Workspace Labs in the coming months. Meanwhile, Google’s Bard AI can now export the data it generates to Sheets, where users can organize and edit it.
