Leaked Images of JioPhone 5G Reveal Design, Launch Date and Price

The telecom giant, Reliance Jio, is gearing up to launch the much-awaited JioPhone 5G later this year. While there is no official confirmation on the phone’s specifications, leaked images of the device have surfaced, shedding light on its design. A Twitter user, @ArpitNahiMila, shared live images of the upcoming JioPhone 5G, revealing some of its key features and expected price.

The leaked images showcase both the front and back of the phone. At the top of the rear, there appears to be a dual camera setup in the center, possibly led by a 13-megapixel AI camera and a 2-megapixel secondary lens. On the front, the screen has a waterdrop-style notch that houses the 5-megapixel front camera. The back of the device is said to be made of fiberglass, with the Jio logo prominently displayed.

In addition to design insights, @ArpitNahiMilan’s tweet also hints at a possible release timeline for the JioPhone 5G. According to tips, the device will be announced between Diwali and New Year.

In addition, some of the most important specifications of the smartphone are mentioned. The handset could be powered by either the Unisoc 5G or the Dimensity 700 SoC, although a previous report suggested that it could be equipped with a Snapdragon 480 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Other rumored specs include a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and the phone is expected to run Android 12. To help users stay connected for longer, the JioPhone 5G may have a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

In the tweet, the price of the JioPhone 5G is mentioned to be under Rs. 10000. Other sources have a similar estimate. Industry estimates in a CounterPoint Research report suggest between Rs. 8000 and Rs. 12,000.

It is worth noting that the JioPhone 5G is expected to come pre-loaded with Google Mobile Services and various Jio apps, further enhancing its functionality and user experience. This is in line with Reliance’s collaboration with Google announced last year to develop an affordable 5G smartphone.

As leaked images and details do the rounds, anticipation is building for the launch of the JioPhone 5G, which promises to bring 5G connectivity and a host of features at an affordable price.
