How To Utilize Meta’s Threads App

Meta, the tech giant based in the US, has recently launched its latest social media platform called Threads. This platform allows users to share text updates and participate in public discussions. Originally planned for a Thursday evening release, Meta made the decision to launch Threads ahead of schedule.

“Threads is a new app developed by the Instagram team for sharing text updates and participating in public conversations. You log in with your Instagram account and posts can be up to 500 characters long and contain links, photos and videos up to 5 minutes long,” Meta said in a blog post on Wednesday.

How to download and sign up for Threads

To use Threads, all you need to do is download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

How to use thread

– After downloading, open the app and click “Sign in with Instagram”.

– If you already have the Instagram app installed on your device, Threads will log you in automatically.

– Note that if you do not have the Instagram app installed, you will be prompted to install it.

– After installing the app, you can log in to Threads.

– Once you are logged in, you can start sending messages to your close friends

Similar to Instagram, Threads allows users to follow and connect with friends and creators who share their interests, including people they follow on Instagram, according to the company.

– Users under the age of 16 (or under 18 in some countries) also get a private profile by default when they join the app.

– In Threads, users can control who can mention or reply to them.

– Like Instagram, users can add specific words to filter out replies that contain those words in their threads.

They can also unfollow, block, limit or report a profile on Threads by tapping the three-dot menu, and any account they’ve blocked on Instagram will automatically be blocked on Threads.
