Thousands of Users Experiencing Outages on Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp
According to Downdetector.com, on Monday, numerous users in the United States experienced service disruptions on Meta Platforms’ social media platforms Instagram and Facebook, as well as the messaging app WhatsApp.
As many as 13,000 users reported problems using Instagram, while around 5,400 and 1,870 users faced outages on Facebook and WhatsApp.
Downdetector tracks outages by aggregating status reports from multiple sources, including user-submitted errors on their platform. The outage could have affected a larger number of users.
Meta did not immediately respond to a Reuters inquiry about the outages.
