First, you need to make sure that both phones are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and are close to each other.

– Go to WhatsApp settings on your old phone with a SIM card

– Click on Chats option – Scroll down and then click on Move Chats

– You will see the option to start transferring chat history to your Android phone

– Click Start to start the chat transfer

– Now download WhatsApp to your new phone

– Register with the same phone number using the OTP you received on the old device

– You will see a QR code on the new phone to change the account

– Use your old phone’s camera to scan a QR code via WhatsApp to start a chat transfer

– Now you need to make sure that both phones remain unlocked during the transfer process and you don’t switch between them

The entire chat transfer process takes about 20-25 minutes, and during this time the phone’s screen must be active. Depending on the speed of your Wi-Fi connection, the transfer will end with a message box confirming the end of the transfer. Now you can see all the WhatsApp conversations of your old phone on the new phone with the same account.

This may not have been clearly stated by WhatsApp, but we found that this chat transfer process does not transfer WhatsApp call history. You will receive all conversations from the old phone only on the new phone, which goes through the same account. All you have to do is put the profile name that you want others to see on WhatsApp.
