Apple iPad Mini 7 Expected To Be Released in 2020
According to reports, Apple, the tech giant headquartered in Cupertino, is said to be preparing for the release of its seventh iteration of the iPad mini later in the year. Similar to the 11th generation iPad, the primary enhancement expected for the upcoming iPad mini is an upgraded chip.
The current iPad mini has the A15 Bionic chip, and the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro are expected to launch with the A16 Bionic and A17 Bionic chips in September. This suggests that the iPad mini might receive one of these processors.
According to a report by a leaker known as ShrimpApplePro, at least one new iPad model is on the way, most likely the seventh-generation iPad mini. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPad mini may get a minor update this year. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects the seventh generation iPad mini to begin mass production soon.
ShimpApplePro’s mention of a next-generation iPad mini, along with information about new Apple Watch models expected in the fall, hint that the small tablet could be released sooner rather than later. However, the leaker will provide more information later.
According to the report, the next-gen iPad mini could see minor technical upgrades, including front and rear cameras, possibly introducing features like Photonic Engine, ProRes video recording, Audiozoom, and more. It might also get connectivity upgrades like Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, similar to the latest iPad Pro models.
It is likely that the iPad mini will have the same features as the latest iPad Pro models. It is possible that features such as Apple Pencil hover will also be included, but exact information about the updated device is not yet known.
ShrimpApplePro also revealed that the upcoming Apple Watch Series 9 will have the same design as the Series 8, with case sizes of 41mm and 45mm, but with a new pink color available for the aluminum model.
