WhatsApp Introducing New Design for Community Information
WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging app owned by Meta, is reportedly unveiling a new user interface for the community information screen when opened from the Communities tab. Its purpose is to help new users quickly find what they need in the community.
“After installing the latest WhatsApp beta for search iOS 23.16.1.75 update available on TestFlight, we can confirm that some beta testers can now try out the same revamped interface,” WABetaInfo, a website that follows WhatsApp, reported.
According to a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, a new customized interface is available when viewing community information. This section contains two tabs that allow users to quickly access both community and announcement information.
This UI improvement will definitely help community admins to manage communities instantly without going to different sections. As always, this section allows community admins to edit both group and community settings.
“By introducing a revamped interface for community information, Search WhatsApp aims to provide users with an extra revised tool to quickly access community information and settings. Additionally, the changes make this section easier to understand for new people looking to explore WhatsApp communities,” WABetaInfo said.
The new community information screen is available to some beta testers who install the latest WhatsApp beta update for iOS search from the TestFlight app, and it’s rolling out to even more people in the coming days.
At the same time, the instant messaging app will also introduce a multi-account feature that will allow users to add new accounts to the app. This feature streamlines the process where users can manage multiple accounts on a single device. Instead of setting up separate WhatsApp accounts for each device, you can use one app on your primary device to conveniently access and switch between your different accounts.
