AI Professionals Offered Rs 7 Crore Package by Netflix and Amazon
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly popular in Silicon Valley this year, tech giants like Netflix and Amazon are eager to hire AI experts for roles similar to OpenAI – the creator of ChatGPT.
In these roles, AI-savvy people can get offers of up to $900,000, which translates to more than R7 billion a year. According to The New York Post, these jobs are currently open in the United States. In particular, Netflix is looking for employees to work on its machine learning platform and measure its success. A university degree is not an official requirement.
In addition, the role is also quite versatile, with the option to work in an office (Los Gatos, CA) or remotely from home in a west coast time zone. As for Amazon, the company’s job offer is for the role of senior manager of applied science and generative artificial intelligence, and Amazon is willing to offer up to $340,300 per year.
“This role focuses on leading a science team focused on computer vision, latent diffusion models, and related fundamental models for generating generative images and videos,” Amazon’s job description reads.
The New York Post further notes that these numbers place these roles at Netflix and Amazon in the top 1 percent of earners in America. This suggests that AI-based roles are in demand, and professionals in the field can land lucrative roles that can even surpass some of the more popular roles to earn some serious cash.
