1. Startup founders share insights on AI opportunities

Microsoft today hosted a forum that invited startup founders across industries to share their insights on the AI opportunity for Indian startups and open a dialogue on AI’s potential to accelerate industry innovation and growth. 2. Meta’s advertising campaign revenue increased by 32% thanks to AI tools

Nicola Mendelsohn, head of the global business group at Meta Platforms, revealed on Thursday that the tech giant’s ad campaign revenue has increased by 32 percent with the help of artificial intelligence. Speaking to Bloomberg Television from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Mendelsohn said artificial intelligence tools have helped develop the campaign. While it would have required multiple steps in the past, “you can do it with one button now,” he said.

3. The AI Governance Alliance calls for equal access to artificial intelligence

In Davos, the World Economic Forum’s AI Governance Alliance emphasized the need for global efforts to make access to artificial intelligence equitable. According to a PTI report, AI can help address global challenges, but it also poses the danger of a new digital divide. Cathy Li, Director, AI, Data and Metaverse, WEF said: “We need to work together between governments, the private sector and local communities to ensure that the future of AI benefits everyone,” she said.

4. TSMC’s revenue to grow by 20% in 2024 thanks to the AI boom

Witnessing the artificial intelligence boom, Taiwanese chip manufacturer TSMC predicted on Thursday that its 2024 revenue will grow by more than 20%. According to a Reuters report, even though the smartphone industry is going through something of a downturn, high-end AI chips are used in everything from smartphones to electric vehicles. C.C. TSMC CEO Wei said, “We are a key enabler of AI applications. Until now, everything you saw for AI came from TSMC.” Currently, the demand for advanced packaging is very strong, which TSMC cannot keep up with, but the company plans to continue to do so next year.

2. Samsung introduces Galaxy AI

At the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung presented its latest technological innovation, Galaxy AI. The tech giant says Galaxy AI introduces meaningful intelligence that aims to improve all aspects of life, especially the phone’s most important role – communication. It has several features like Interpreter, Live Translate, Chat Assist, Note Assist, Transcript Assist and Circle to Search.
