Android Users Get Access to Twitter’s X Rebranding
This week, Twitter’s X rebranding is ongoing and it appears that Android app users will soon experience the X makeover on their phones. The Twitter app with the new X branding has now been made available on the Play Store, indicating that the public release is approaching.
Elon Musk announced the X-branding of Twitter earlier this week, and now you can see the X-branding in many places, including the X Twitter handle, which was apparently used by another person, but Musk decided to just take it from him without asking his permission.
While the X branding is becoming ubiquitous, you’ll still see the word Tweets mentioned in a number of places, and the biggest branding of all has to be when Twitter’s bird icon is replaced with an X in the app. iOS users should also see the change in the coming days.
Changing the bird icon on the Android app’s Twitter feed is a start, and we expect the rebranding to continue over the next few weeks. The site is already covered with an X and even the browser’s web icon has changed. But the prospects for X for Musk extend far beyond the social media platform.
He’s always talked about building an all-in-one app, and by completely overhauling Twitter and risking its value rebranding, Musk is likely to bring financial services and other features under the new X Corp platform.
Twitter (or X) users now have the option to download Xvideos natively if they’ve subscribed to Blue, making it another feature addition for paying users who already get a blue tick, edit tweet button, freedom to DM anyone and download Full HD Videos.
