Apple’s iPhone Design Chief to Depart and Collaborate with Jony Ive and Sam Altman on New AI Venture
Apple executive Tang Tan, who led the design of the iPhone and Apple Watch, will join LoveFrom, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Tan will leave Apple in February to work on a new AI hardware project at LoveFrom, a design firm led by Jony Ive, the designer of many iconic Apple products, according to the report.
The products Tan is working on are in the early stages, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman would provide software capabilities to LoveFrom, according to Bloomberg.
Apple did not respond to a request for comment. LoveFrom could not immediately be reached.
